New volunteers for our Beach Clean/Litter Pick group are always welcome – of all ages and abilities.
Join us any Saturday morning to volunteer for our weekly Litter Pick in St. Anne’s-on-Sea. Family-friendly, everyone is welcome, and you can bring your dogs too.
Setting off at 10:30 am sharp from The Community Beach Base at the side of St. Annes Pier (former deckchair rental hut), a coordinator in a purple high-viz vest will welcome you and answer any questions.
If you come for the first time, all equipment will be provided and this will include a Litter picker, hoop, bag and gloves. For the children, there are smaller pickers.
We are a fun and friendly group that loves to keep our beach, coastal area and town tidy. In addition to this weekly pick, we have people go out every day in their area and you are welcome to keep hold of any kit if you are to do that.
If any children are doing Duke of Edinburgh Awards bronze silver or gold then the Volunteer hours can be done with our group. We have already had upwards of 50 children complete their hours with us from Saint Bede’s High School (bronze) LSA High School (bronze and silver) and AKS (Gold)
We can meet school groups or businesses, on additional group picks at times to suit.
Not only are you doing your bit for the environment and to help the seas and marine life, but it’s also a wonderful way to be involved in your local community, and get fresh air and exercise on our beautiful coastline.
Hope to see you soon 🙂
